Job Overview:
This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across various site locations. You will serve as the primary contact for all maintenance-related concerns within your designated areas. In certain situations, you may need to coordinate with specialized personnel following initial assessments.

The main objective of this position is to perform technical repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). You will ensure that all technical and compliance documentation is meticulously completed and consistently updated.

All tasks will be carried out to the highest standards, efficiently and cost-effectively, while adhering to all Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within specified timelines, ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed.
  • Respond swiftly and positively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and performing repairs as necessary.
  • Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet agreed timelines and response expectations.
  • Provide maintenance for reactive and planned fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct tests and repairs on emergency lighting systems.
  • Adhere to the purchase order process.
  • Identify irreparable faults in equipment and machinery, promptly informing the Line Manager with recommendations for suitable replacements.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is consistently completed and up to date.
  • Inform the onsite customer (manager) of any maintenance issues that may disrupt site operations.
  • Conduct surveys and compile reports as required by management.
  • Perform minor modifications and installations within your technical expertise, following current specifications.
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance at customer sites as directed by management.
  • Attend training sessions as necessary to keep personal skills aligned with technical advancements.
  • Comply with the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Represent the company professionally and foster positive working relationships with both City and customer personnel.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
  • Collaborate with company and customer staff to maintain established quality standards.
  • Follow any other reasonable instructions from the management team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • Minimum education of GCSE / Standard Grade level, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
  • City and Guilds 17th Edition or 18th Edition (new).
  • Understanding of 3-phase electrical systems and their applications.
  • Capability to maintain and repair a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment, such as commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
  • Quality of repairs and maintenance.
  • Efficiency and speed of work.
  • Timely response to service requests.
  • Achievement of PPM schedules within set timelines.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
  • Positive feedback from clients and colleagues.
