About the Role

This is a key position within City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.

As an Area Site Technician, you will be the first point of contact for all maintenance issues, responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk.

Your primary focus will be on completing the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

You will also be responsible for delivering reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance, conducting emergency lighting tests and repairs, and following purchase order processes.

Additionally, you will identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, advise the Line Manager of findings, and recommend suitable replacements.

Key to this role is ensuring compliance documentation is up-to-date at all times, advising on-site customers of any repair and maintenance issues, and carrying out surveys and completing reports as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete PPM schedule within agreed timescales
  • Respond to service call requests from the Helpdesk
  • Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs
  • Follow purchase order processes
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery
  • Ensure compliance documentation is up-to-date
  • Advise on-site customers of repair and maintenance issues
  • Carry out surveys and complete reports

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be educated to GCSE/Standard Grade level as a minimum, ideally holding NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.

You should also possess City and Guilds 18th edition qualifications and have experience with 3-phase electrics and its applications.
