**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to champion safety, health, and environmental management on site in Northampton.

This role requires acting as the business expert on all Health and Safety matters, ensuring employer liability claims are monitored, and being the key contact with enforcement bodies and response services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining UK safety standards across the site and regular liaison with group functions.
  • Carrying out regular audits and plant inspections, ensuring employee representatives are involved.
  • Ensuring effective budget allocation for health and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in management or head of SHE roles within food manufacturing, working alongside senior leaders.
  • Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety law and a proven track record of implementation and maintenance to ensure compliance.
  • Expertise in best practices, industry standards, and their effective implementation.
  • Good understanding of environmental/sustainability practices and ability to adopt and implement them.
  • Able to engage proactively with local government departments to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • NEBOSH and Health and Safety qualifications.
  • Able to think agilely and exhibit adaptable behaviors.

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
