A forward-thinking secondary school is looking for a highly skilled Secondary School Maths Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum.

As a key member of the Maths department, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Maths to achieve exceptional progress and achievement in the subject. Your duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deputising for the Head of Maths, ensuring continuity in departmental leadership and maintaining high standards.
  2. Coordinating the Maths curriculum, including schemes of work, marking policies, and teaching strategies that drive academic excellence.
  3. Providing regular updates to parents through various channels, helping them support their child's learning journey.
  4. Identifying areas of underachievement and implementing targeted intervention programmes, particularly at Key Stage 4.
  5. Promoting Maths within the school and community by attending events and sharing relevant information.
  6. Conducting quality assurance activities such as student voice, work sampling, and lesson observations to maintain high standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Maths teacher, demonstrating strong teaching skills and subject expertise.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A passion for continuous professional development and contributing to a positive school culture.
