Job Title: Driver Trainer

We are seeking a skilled Driver Trainer to deliver high-quality training to our drivers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-house, periodic Driver CPC training to our drivers.
  • Provide training on drivers' hours, tachographs, and WTD rules and regulations to new starters and existing drivers.
  • Conduct new starter training and inductions, ensuring our drivers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate all training provided, assessing Culina's needs and ensuring all needs are met at all times.
  • Report on the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required.
  • Keep and maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all driver training undertaken.
  • Liaise with the Transport Management team as necessary to maximise benefits for all training provided.
  • Monitor the standard of Culina drivers' driving and provide information, advice, and guidance to departments such as H&S, Transport, and HR.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Essential skills in LGV C&E Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information to trainees.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications.
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Qualified to Advanced driving level would be desirable.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
