About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Care in Mind, a leading provider of residential services for young people aged 16-30 years old. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our 5-bed service in Fulwood, Preston.

Job Responsibilities

As a Deputy Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager in the management of the service, including planning rotas, conducting supervisions, and assisting with staff learning and development.
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including Nurses, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists, to provide high-quality care and support to our young people.
  • Developing and implementing care plans, ensuring that the needs of our young people are met and that they receive the best possible support.
  • Managing budgets, including recruiting, selecting, and retaining staff, and conducting disciplinary investigations and fact-finds as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 12 months supervisory management experience, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent understanding of mental health and the issues young people face.
  • Full clean driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
