We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Consultancy division, based in either Sevenoaks or Central London. The role is full-time and permanent, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

This role involves working collaboratively with internal and external clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical and quality compliance through proactive technical solutions and designs.

The duties of this position include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of tender documents by preparing fee proposals and quality statements, and contributing to winning work by providing timelines for tasks and activities;
  • Designing permanent and temporary works in accordance with relevant design standards and codes of practice;
  • Supporting Local Authorities in their asset management strategies by undertaking inspections of highway structures and site surveys;
  • Managing health and safety during the design and construction phases, identifying hazards and designing them out where possible.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience in structural engineering, including design and detailing of structures in reinforced concrete and steel;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and swept path analysis.
