Job Opportunity:

Skills for Security is seeking an individual to join their team as a Fire Security Engineer Apprentice. This 36-month apprenticeship offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers and gain skills in fire and security systems.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £13,120 per annum (£256 per week), based on a 40-hour working week. The apprentice will be required to work from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Apprenticeship Details:

  • Degree: Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
  • Duration: 36 months

Requirements:

  • Aged 17+
  • Holding a driving licence
  • Ability to pass an enhanced DBS
  • Maths and English grade 4 or above
  • Living within 10 miles of the office

Training and Development:

The apprentice will initially work alongside experienced engineers, learning and developing in the fields of both fire and security. Training will be delivered by Skills for Security at their Watford Centre. The apprentice will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during block release weeks and gather site evidence needed to supplement studies.

Future Prospects:

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the individual will be offered a full-time position as a qualified engineer.
