About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Earlsferry House Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in leading our care team and ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Demonstrate kindness and empathy by ensuring all staff contribute to the smooth operation of the home, creating a supportive and considerate atmosphere.
  • Resident Support: Provide passionate and compassionate care, assisting residents with personal needs while maintaining their dignity and independence.
  • Medication Management: Handle medication administration with trusted reliability and accuracy, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Effective Communication: Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members with respect, clarity, and friendliness.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster an inclusive team environment where diversity is respected, and every team member feels valued, supported, and motivated.
  • Visitor Interaction: Welcome and guide visitors with enthusiasm and friendliness, showing prospective residents and their families around the home.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations with competence and consistency, providing or seeking assistance promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed care plans, risk assessments, and case notes with integrity and truthfulness, ensuring they accurately reflect residents' needs and wishes.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training and development opportunities with a passionate commitment to your own growth and advancement.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to Health and Safety policies with diligence and respect, escalating concerns to management as necessary.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or be actively working towards it).
  • Medication Administration: Practical medication administration skills with proven competencies.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership abilities to motivate and develop a team.
  • Compassionate Nature: A compassionate, kind, and caring nature with a commitment to person-centred care.
