p>Are you a seasoned SHEQ professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance and Health and Safety Manager to join our client, a leading retail organisation with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

About the Role

  1. Develop and implement effective SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks, and provide training to employees on SHEQ best practices.
  3. Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  4. Monitor and review the effectiveness of SHEQ controls and procedures, and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Prepare and present SHEQ reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a culture of safety and quality is embedded throughout the organisation.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest SHEQ legislation and industry developments, and provide guidance to employees on compliance requirements.

About You

  1. You have a recognised Health and Safety qualification, such as NEBOSH Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health, and membership of a relevant professional body.
  2. You have experience in an operational SHEQ role, with a strong understanding of UK and Ireland health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  3. You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  4. You have a strong track record of managing multiple work streams and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  5. You are a strong advocate for safety and quality, with a passion for promoting a culture of excellence throughout the organisation.
  6. You have a full UK driving licence and are able to travel to different locations as required.

  1. A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
