p>Are you a seasoned SHEQ professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance and Health and Safety Manager to join our client, a leading retail organisation with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

About the Role

  1. Develop and implement effective SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks, and provide training to employees on SHEQ best practices.
  3. Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  4. Monitor and review the effectiveness of SHEQ controls and procedures, and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Prepare and present SHEQ reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SHEQ considerations are integrated into business decisions and operations.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry developments, and ensure the organisation remains compliant and competitive.

About You

  1. You have a recognised Health and Safety qualification, such as NEBOSH Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health, and membership of a relevant professional body.
  2. You have experience in an operational SHEQ role, with a strong understanding of UK and Ireland health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  3. You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  4. You have a strong track record of managing multiple work streams and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  5. You are a team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  6. You have a full UK driving licence and are able to travel to different locations as required.
