Job Title: Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality obstetric care to patients, managing the Labour Ward, Antenatal clinics, Section Lists, and Maternity Assessment Unit in collaboration with existing consultants and within the multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide continuing responsibility for patients in their charge
  • Work within a team-based structure to support care across both hospital sites
  • Participate in the immediate management functions and strategic planning of the Division and Trusts on both sites
  • Manage the Labour Ward, Antenatal clinics, Section Lists, and Maternity Assessment Unit
  • Collaborate with existing consultants and within the multi-disciplinary team
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics and gynaecology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
