Job Title: Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded team of consultants who provide care within the Directorate of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.

About the Role

The post-holder will be required to provide the full range of obstetric skills, including managing the Labour Ward, Antenatal clinics, Section Lists, and Maternity Assessment Unit, in collaboration with existing consultants and within the multi-disciplinary team.

The department is keen to support and expand the range of junior tier training, and you will play a key role in service development that enables juniors to progress their skills from simulation to practical hands-on.

The post holders will provide continuing responsibility for patients in their charge and will work within a team-based structure to support care across both hospital sites.

This post is based at University Hospital of North Midlands, with clinical duties across both the Royal Stoke and County Hospital Sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide the full range of obstetric skills, including managing the Labour Ward, Antenatal clinics, Section Lists, and Maternity Assessment Unit.
  • Collaborate with existing consultants and within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Support and expand the range of junior tier training, enabling juniors to progress their skills from simulation to practical hands-on.
  • Work within a team-based structure to support care across both hospital sites.
