Are you a dedicated professional with experience in residential childcare, seeking a new opportunity? We are looking for a passionate and skilled Deputy Manager to support our client in providing exceptional care for children and young people. This position offers a unique chance to positively influence the lives of young individuals while progressing your career in a nurturing environment.
Key Duties:
- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with care standards and regulations.
- Guide, mentor, and enhance the staff team, fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for both employees and residents.
- Supervise the creation and evaluation of personalized care plans, ensuring they meet the specific needs of each child.
- Serve as a role model for the team, advocating for best practices in childcare and safeguarding measures.
- Manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring consistent care and support for the children.
- Collaborate with external agencies, professionals, and families to enhance the welfare and development of the children.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a children's home as a Senior or Deputy Manager.
- Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and regulatory standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including sleep-ins.
