About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Insights Director to lead our Chemical Market Analytics team in developing and implementing a comprehensive Strategic Insights program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality strategic insights and content that advances our brand and drives business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic content strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives.
- Lead the creation of high-quality strategic insights and content, including thought leadership pieces, white papers, podcasts, and videos.
- Manage the development of high-quality strategic insights/themes and content, including market analysis and trend identification.
- Evaluate the success of our content offering and identify new opportunities to capitalize on.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and marketing, to ensure alignment and understanding of forward-looking plans, tactics, and strategies.
- Be an in-house editor for market thought leadership content, coordinating with our marketing team on potential partnerships with leading media, trade publications, and associations.
Requirements
- 9+ years of proven strategic content and/or editorial experience in the chemicals industry.
- Experience of measurable success in developing Strategic Insights style products and innovative content programs to increase business growth.
- Strategic content/theme development capabilities, including strategy, writing, creation, and execution of executive summaries and marketing-style content across multiple media.
- Strong ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively to identify key themes and trends, often requiring lateral thinking.
- Experience working in a cross-functional, matrix organization, including understanding global/regional/country organizational dynamics.
Skills
- Chemical domain knowledge, editorial/curation skills, and ability to draw strategic themes and conclusions from multiple data and insight sources.
- Excellent command of the English language, with great written and verbal communication skills.
- Natural ability to navigate a complex matrix organization and lead process changes.
- Great at managing workload and excelling in a fast-paced, connected environment.
- A collaborator with experience working with multiple cultures and stakeholders across global locations and time zones.
