Job Description

Cambridge Satchel is seeking a highly skilled Store Manager to join their team at the opening of a brand new store in Royal Windsor Station.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store, including customer service, store operations, and implementing retail loss prevention strategies.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and lead the team to achieve high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Set and understand store targets, striving to exceed them on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Manage the team to maintain high performance through individual and store sales.
  • Support and challenge the team to build strong customer relationships and deliver excellent service.
  • Communicate targets and key information to the team through daily briefs and updates.
  • Inspire teamwork and motivate staff to maintain good morale.
  • Lead by example, ensuring the team are brand ambassadors.
  • Recruit and onboard new starters as needed.
  • Complete store reports and provide in-depth analysis of sales and customer data.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial reports, targets, and product information.
  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute sales and promotions.
  • Identify key lines and use visual merchandising guides to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Maintain high standards on the floor at all times.
  • Monitor market trends, customer initiatives, and local competitor activity.
  • Deal with customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner, retaining customer loyalty.
  • Follow company banking and cash handling procedures and be responsible for security.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to and implementing legislative health and safety requirements.
  • Resolve security issues.
  • Manage staff holiday, payroll, and report monthly.
  • Manage controllable costs and petty cash.
  • Monitor standards in and around the property, reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Ensure back-of-house areas are clean and well-presented, and post, parcels, and deliveries are managed closely.
  • Be knowledgeable about Cambridge Satchel and serve as a key contact point for Head Office departments.
  • Build relationships with other store managers.
