We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Primary Care Mental Health team in Argyll and Bute. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to our patients.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in promoting vocational activities and supporting re-enablement, with a focus on increasing access to evidence-based psychological therapies for common mental health conditions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide low-intensity psychological interventions, both individually and in groups.

To be successful in this role, you will require a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a mental health setting, preferably Primary Care Mental or Community Mental Health, is desirable. You will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and have continued to develop your clinical skills, particularly in working with mild to moderate mental health issues and using low-intensity psychological therapies such as Behavioural activation and delivery of therapeutic and psycho-educational groups.

We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for training, support, and supervision. Computer literacy and a driving license are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mental health services to patients in Argyll and Bute
