Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in South Ayrshire. The successful candidate will work in an agreed area of Occupational Therapy, ensuring the provision of quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with colleagues, as part of the multi-disciplinary and Occupational Therapy team, to manage a caseload and provide evidence-based interventions.
  • Empower service users to achieve their goals and remain as independent and active as possible.
  • Participate in service improvement and contribute to the development of effective networks with colleagues across health, local authority, and partner agencies.
  • Promote and educate relevant stakeholders on Occupational Therapy services and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential requirements.
  • Completed Flying Start and demonstrated a sound understanding of Occupational Therapy through CPD, Post Graduate training, and evidence of additional knowledge and experience.
  • Variety of clinical experience working in a relevant specialty.
  • Current Health and Care Professions Council Registration.
  • Evidence of sound clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with multi-agencies.
  • Evidence of development of leadership and supervision skills.
  • Committed to team and personal development with evidence of self-directed learning.
  • Mandatory and Statutory training (MAST) and role-specific MAST.

Working Arrangements:

Two posts available, working 37 hours per week. A UK driving licence or car ownership is essential for this role.
