This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Community Mental Health Service in Angus. The successful candidate will be part of the South Angus Community Mental Health Team in Arbroath, providing occupational therapy assessment and intervention for individuals aged 16-65 experiencing mental health issues that impact their occupational performance.

Our team uses occupation as the foundation of our work, collaborating with individuals to bring value and purpose to their lives. We employ evidence-based interventions, regularly evaluating their effectiveness. Our approach includes individual and group work to support goal achievement, empowerment through independence, and supported self-management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for individuals experiencing mental health issues
  • Collaborate with individuals to develop and implement personalized plans
  • Employ evidence-based interventions to support occupational performance and mental health
  • Work closely with the South Angus Community Mental Health Team to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting the value of occupational therapy
