Job Summary

Sandstone Care Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at The Oaks Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support our residents with personal care and hygiene, eating, and daily activities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to our residents
  • Support our residents to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focused on their individual hobbies, preferences, and abilities
  • Maintain high standards within the care home environment
  • Senior-level duties to support the Home Manager, including staff supervision, appraisals, record-keeping, and liaison with outside professionals
  • Varied shifts on the residential floor and the dementia floor

Requirements

  • Supervisory/leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
  • A positive outlook and warm personality
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
  • Confident in record-keeping and the use of various technologies
  • Able to remain calm and guide colleagues under pressure
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns according to the needs of our residents
