We are looking for a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Speech Pathologist in Learning Disabilities, you will be responsible for providing expert speech and language therapy services to adults with learning disabilities who have complex communication needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of service users, including those with borderline learning disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities, and comorbidities such as epilepsy and dementia. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and participate in ongoing clinical supervision and peer support to enhance your practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat adults with learning disabilities who have complex communication needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in continuing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • State registration with HCPC
  • Accredited dysphagia training or willingness to undertake
  • Experience in working within Learning Disabilities
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £30,700-£46,267 per annum pro rata, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including access to ongoing professional development and a supportive work environment.
