About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Psychologist to join our Children's Learning Disability service in Wrexham and Flintshire.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist to support psychological assessment, formulation, and adapted psychological interventions for children, young people, and their families experiencing psychological distress.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in audit and clinical research, as well as contribute to service development projects while continuing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prioritize own workload and activities under the direction of the supervising clinical psychologist.
  • Support psychological assessment, formulation, and interventions for children, young people, and their families.
  • Develop skills in audit and clinical research.
  • Contribute to service development projects.

Person Specification
  • Good Honours Degree in Psychology.
  • Eligibility for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families in clinical social care or educational settings.
