Job Title: Full/Part Time Rowing Coach

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rowing Coach to join our team at Emanuel School. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a year group or year groups of rowers under the direction of the Director of Rowing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a year group or year groups of rowers, implementing a training program and working closely with the Director of Rowing to deliver rowing sessions safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the Boat Club, including administration, regattas, training camps, logistics, and equipment maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Director of Rowing to develop and implement a training program for rowers, ensuring high-quality coaching and a positive team environment.
  • Coach rowers during Games lessons, before school, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays, as required by the Director of Rowing.
  • Transport pupils to sporting fixtures and escort them to and from the boat house via train daily.

Requirements:

  • Experience in rowing coaching, with a strong track record of success.
  • Ability to work in a team with full-time and part-time rowing coaches, teaching staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with rowers of all ages and abilities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including weekends and school holidays.
  • Ability to transport pupils to sporting fixtures and escort them to and from the boat house via train daily.

Working Hours: This is a full-time, year-round post, working term time and school holidays. Flexible hours will need to be worked, and regular weekend working will be required due to the events in the calendar.
