About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Vascular Care Specialist to join our team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified nurse to work as part of our specialist team, providing expert care to patients requiring advanced venous access. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a cohort of patients, including assessment, device insertion, and ongoing support.

The post holder will work closely with doctors and nurses of all grades to plan and implement evidence-based venous access strategies for complex patients. This will involve working autonomously, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of policies and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vascular access, with experience in peripheral cannulation, midline/PICC insertions, and a willingness to undertake further training in more invasive forms of vascular access.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients requiring advanced venous access.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based venous access strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines related to venous access.
Requirements
  • A registered nurse with Level 1 qualifications and a degree or equivalent subject experience.
  • At least one year of clinical experience at Band 6.
