About the Role

Glasgow Caledonian University is seeking an enthusiastic academic to join our dynamic and vibrant Department of Computing, within the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of applied research, innovative teaching, and award-winning knowledge transfer activities. They will be responsible for delivering technical modules in the Computing and Software Engineering areas at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for delivering innovations in learning and teaching, and who can enhance our research and knowledge exchange activities. Areas of expertise required include but are not limited to Software Development, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Engineering, Internet of Things and Secure Software Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical modules in the Computing and Software Engineering areas at undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Contribute to the development of research and knowledge exchange activities
  • Enhance our teaching and learning practices
  • Embed equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the role

Requirements

  • PhD or relevant Masters qualification level and enrolled on a PhD programme
  • Relevant industry experience along with membership of a relevant professional body
  • Passion for delivering innovations in learning and teaching
  • Ability to enhance research and knowledge exchange activities
