Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled C1 Van Driver to join our team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for making deliveries and collections, working efficiently, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Vehicle Operation: Drive a 7.5T van safely and efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  2. Cargo Management: Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring it meets safety standards.
  3. Communication: Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues that arise during transport.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including completion of Waste Transfer Notes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Valid Driving Licence: Possess a valid UK driving licence with no points or endorsements (up to 7 points).
  2. Van Driving Experience: Proven experience driving 7.5T vans.
  3. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the transport office, customers, and other drivers.
  4. Sales Experience (Desirable): Experience in business-to-business sales and achieving sales targets as part of a driving role would be an advantage but is not essential.
