At Grant Thornton UK, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager for Public Sector to join our team.

The estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £100,000 per annum.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead non-audit clients, develop wider team responsibilities, and drive business growth through new relationships and service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage non-audit clients in the public sector.
  • Develop the skills of the team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Drive business growth through new relationships and service offerings in the public sector.
  • Oversee and develop the team to meet the highest standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and team members in the public sector.
  • Pursue continuous improvement and innovation in financial management.

Requirements:

  • Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA).
  • Post-qualification experience in External Audit to Local Authorities and Health bodies or Local Government or Health finance function.
  • Excellent grasp of IFRS accounting standards and their implementation in the public sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting in the public sector.
  • Project management experience.
  • Business development experience beneficial.
