At BAE Systems, we are committed to developing the project controllers of the future. Our Degree Apprentice Project Controls program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to combine academic studies with practical experience in a dynamic industry.

As a key member of our project controls community, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization. The apprenticeship will provide you with hands-on experience in five different business areas, combined with a day release to a university centre to study for an Honours Degree in Project Controls. Throughout your tenure, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to critical project control activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and analyze business data using project control tools and techniques.
  • Work closely with project managers and control account managers to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities, applying learning from experience to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of project controls principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also essential to work effectively within a team environment. A degree in Project Controls or a related field will be advantageous, as well as GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C or 9-4).

Estimated salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
