We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Ambulance Vehicle Preparation Operative. As a key member of our operational support function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and supporting our operations in meeting their targets.
Key Responsibilities- Process Ambulance Service Vehicles in a prescribed and controlled way to ensure each ambulance is fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat a patient.
- Conduct detailed cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control activities, checking and inspecting medical and lifting & handling equipment, restocking all consumables, and completing vehicle checks.
- Prepare consumables, manage stock control, re-fuel vehicles, and move them across various locations, recording all daily activities and the repatriation of equipment from Hospital Trusts.
- Work individually and as part of a small team, demonstrating flexibility and a personal commitment to demonstrating the YAS values and behaviours.
- Driving license with full Category C1 entitlement, valid in the UK.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team, with a good eye for detail and effective communication skills.
- Basic IT skills, including email, internet, and office software, as well as hand-held data devices (tablets, telephones).
- Ability to work unsocial hours on a 7-day/24-hour shift rota system, with a willingness to travel throughout Yorkshire as required.
- Competitive salary and unsocial payments for working hours between 20:00 and 06:00 and Sundays.
