About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls in the UK. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving operational improvements and excellence across our business.

Job Description

The Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing process improvements, driving cost savings, and enhancing customer satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to achieve significant operational gains.

You will:

  • Drive Operational Excellence
    • Develop and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, productivity, and quality.
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to achieve significant operational gains.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Sustain and Continuously Improve
    • Maintain and improve existing processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate process performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and Develop Teams
    • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • EHS Performance
    • Regularly review, update, and support EHS initiatives to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Career Development
    • Support creation of a Career Ladder program to foster strong career progression opportunities.
    • Manage and support Engineer Skills Matrix to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to advance their careers.
  • Technology Support
    • Review, test, and implement new technology to support overall business goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Leadership Skills
    • Proven ability to lead and manage teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Process Improvement Expertise
    • Extensive experience in process improvement and lean methodologies.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • EHS Knowledge
    • Familiarity with EHS regulations and guidelines.
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
