About the Role:

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the smooth running of Accounts Payable and other financial tasks supporting our UK/EMEA region.

This position requires a self-starter candidate with relevant accounts payable/accounts ledger experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Accounts Payable and Travel & Expenses, Key Account payments, and cash management processes.
  • Ensure that all suppliers' invoices are recorded, approved for, and paid in a timely manner.
  • Review and approve the general ledger and department coding for each invoice by the budget holders in Concur.
  • Review and approve staff expense claims in Concur.
  • Reconcile and import approved bills and staff expenses from Concur to Netsuite.
  • Ensure timely response to queries by Suppliers, Customers, or internal team members.
  • Keep supplier information up to date in Netsuite and Concur.
  • Process company credit card expenses.
  • Organize and keep current all supplier and employee expense invoice documentation.
  • Apply cash receipts to our customers on a timely basis to ensure Customer Service team has a clear understanding of accounts receivable positions.
  • Constantly maintain reconciliation of bank accounts with Netsuite.
  • Actively work with Customer Service colleagues to research and resolve Accounts Receivable deduction balance.
  • Work with manager to record and maintain the e-commerce payments process.
  • Sales ledger work, involving raising of invoices for intercompany/cross charges and recording payment receipts in GBP and other currencies.
  • Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Assist in PSA and P11D calculations for payroll involving ledger analysis and investigation.
  • Assist in AP or AR related audit enquiries.

Requirements:

  • Experience of accounts payable and financial accounting systems essential.
  • Experience within FMCG environment preferable.
  • Experience of using Excel to manage large data.
  • Keen to either start or has started studying for an ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualification.
