Materials Quality Assurance Specialist

**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials Technician to join our team for the Sizewell C project.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art 3.2-gigawatt power station, generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of construction materials testing, including concrete, earthworks, aggregates, and grout.
The role requires experience in managing site quality systems, conducting inspections and testing, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials and laboratory testing, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain safe working methods for the materials team.
- Plan and conduct inspections and testing as per contract requirements.
- Manage the site quality system for the materials testing laboratory.
- Produce summary compliance reports and manage dispatch of samples to external test laboratories.
- Develop testing programmes for trials and ongoing quality testing.
Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
