We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Specialist to join our team at Daniel James Resourcing.

About the Role:
  • Job Summary: We are looking for a talented individual to manage the financial aspects of civil engineering projects, including cost estimation and budgeting.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure project costs are accurately estimated and managed.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil engineering projects.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost control and project delivery.
  • Cost Monitoring: Monitor and manage project costs, including materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Tender Documents: Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Contractual Advice: Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of project costs and financial transactions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Cost Control Specialist in the civil engineering industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
