Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to provide optometric support to our busy Ophthalmology clinics at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be required to work in an adult and paediatric extended role, carrying out a wide range of complex optometric and ophthalmological procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and effective clinical practice
  • Enhance the patient's experience
  • Manage and develop the performance of the team
  • Ensure effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation's objectives
  • Undertake independently/supervised a wide range of specialty clinical services involving optometric extended roles

About Us

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.

We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Epping.
