We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Information Assurance Officer. This exciting new role will see you working closely with our Information Governance Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of our Information Governance processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of legislation surrounding Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and will be able to provide advice on Trust IG policies and procedures. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

">
  • Supporting Information Governance work programmes and assisting with organisational IG procedures to promote efficient and effective use of information.
  • Organising, attending and taking minutes for Information Governance meetings.
  • Undertaking annual Information Governance audits.
  • Providing advice to Trust staff on the content and location of Trust IG policies and procedures and other associated information/documents.
  • Managing the Information Asset Register and Data Flow Mapping work programme, undertaking training with staff and checking compliance.
  • Completing Freedom of Information and Data Subject Access Requests, in line with current legislation.
