Job Description:

Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking a highly skilled Information Governance Specialist to join our team. As an ICB, we are responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of our communities in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton.

The ideal candidate will have a master's level equivalent in Information Governance or equivalent experience, with specialist knowledge of current legislation in the relevant field. They should also possess excellent writing skills, including summarizing information and key issues, as well as standard keyboard skills using Microsoft Office applications.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with partners across the Integrated Care System (ICS) to agree IG arrangements, ensuring appropriate information flows and collaborative data sharing to support the delivery of commissioning ambitions. They will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with mandatory basic Information Governance training for all staff and specialist roles training, as well as providing guidance and assistance in completing Data Protection Impact Assessments.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop new skills and be involved in large-scale data sharing projects while improving data practices within the Black Country. The salary for this position is approximately £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
