Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endoscopy Scheduling and Administrative Professional to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of appointments with our busy Endoscopy Unit, working closely with the Endoscopy Team Leader and Service Delivery Manager to ensure smooth running of the service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Schedule patients who are referred to the endoscopy service within national access diagnostic waiting times.
  • Ensure that endoscopy appointments are effectively utilised.
  • Provide an efficient administrative service to the endoscopy clinical team and provide an excellent patient experience.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working with the public and demonstrating strong customer care skills.
  • Able to organise own workload.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a good telephone manner.
  • Able to work calmly within a pressured environment.
  • Able to work well within a team.
  • Driven, proactive and adaptable to changes in processes and priorities.
  • Able to use of ICT packages (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the principles of confidentiality and the Data Protection Act.
