Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Building Surveyor to join our team at Arcadis Human Resources Limited. As a Senior/Principal Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing technical due diligence advice and reporting to identify key risks, the severity, and quantification of these risks, along with recommendations for mitigation.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our established Technical Due Diligence & Building Surveying team. The successful candidate will be expected to be technically excellent and have a broad range and experience of commercial surveying including Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Condition Surveys.

Key Responsibilities
  • The key focus will be around TDD advice and reporting to identify key risks, the severity, and quantification of these risks, along with recommendations for mitigation.
  • The position includes a relatively high level of responsibility and accountability with an opportunity to develop managerial as well as technical knowledge and skills, and to progress within a successful and growing specialist team.
  • You will manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions including Technical Due Diligence, condition surveys, and infrequently dilapidations and some projects.
  • You will effectively communicate ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
  • Liaise with the Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure efficient financial control resulting in a cost-effective service.
Requirements
  • Degree in Building Surveying and MRICS qualified.
  • Excellent technical ability.
  • Multi-discipline experience.
  • A broad thinker who can take a global view and has an inherent ability to deliver successfully.
  • Ability to manage project risk.
  • Ability to be flexible to meet tight project deadlines.
  • Manage quality standards to ensure high-quality output.
  • Understand the transaction process including requirements of funders.
  • Understanding of both technical and legislative requirements along with a good commercial awareness.
