Culinary Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Expert to lead our kitchen team at Wilson Vale. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and serving imaginative food that exceeds expectations.

The successful candidate will have experience working with fresh, on-trend food in a similar role or environment. Consistency in food preparation and production is essential.

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis. A degree of flexibility is required to cater to the needs of the business and the site.

This role involves:

• Creating and serving imaginative food which is designed to exceed expectations.
• Using fresh ingredients and cooking 'little and often' during service.
• Serving food wherever possible plated, served in its own one portion dish/bowl, with the use of simple garnishes that are effective and relevant.
• Being imaginative and innovative, ideas and innovations adapted to suit customer needs.
• Managing the detail of front of house presentation.
• Implementation of promotions and special days to enhance offering.
• Aadopting good food cost management techniques.
• Influencing the catering team to instil a 'nothing is too much trouble' approach.
• Delivering imaginative and innovative menus.

As our Culinary Expert, you will:

• Have excellent people skills
• Have general knowledge of food hygiene, have completed at least one year at college or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Be passionate about food and customer service
• Have superb culinary skills
• Have good organisational and communication skills
• Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a large team
• Be eligible to work in the UK
