Fabrication Engineer

JS Recruitment UK LTD is seeking a skilled Fabrication Engineer to join their team in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical trades, with experience in multi-skilled maintenance and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and projects, including breakdowns, PPM, equipment updates, and installations
- Complete PPM activities on schedule and provide feedback to improve the system
- Collaborate with cross-shift engineers for effective handover and information sharing
- Contribute to continuous improvement of plant and maintenance activities
- Enhance equipment performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of replacement parts
- Repair equipment safely and communicate progress to production teams
- Manage remedial engineering works as directed by the Engineering Manager
- Report safety risks and ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards
- Maintain excellent communication with production staff and co-workers
- Uphold good housekeeping standards and company disciplines
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical trades, preferably with apprenticeship experience
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems
