**Mechanical Supervisor Role Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee installation engineers in a food process manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will have a time-served background in mechanical engineering, fabrication, welding or pipefitting, and ideally hold SSSTS, JIB card or black/gold safety card. Proven experience in supervising small teams is essential, along with a strong understanding of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs).
This exciting opportunity offers a 6-month contract with the potential for extension, working with a leading UK engineering projects and installations company based in Wakefield. The role involves:
- Supervising installation engineers across Northwest locations
- Oversight of dismantling and re-installing equipment
- Ensuring efficient removal and organisation of pipework and process plant components
- Monitoring project progress and ordering necessary parts and materials
- Drafting RAMs as needed
The Mechanical Supervisor will also be responsible for preparing reports and quotations for smaller customer projects, adhering to company standards and procedures, and focusing on networking and securing projects.
Key Requirements
- Time-served background in mechanical engineering, fabrication, welding or pipefitting
- SSSTS, JIB card or black/gold safety card (ideal)
- Proven experience in supervising small teams
- Essential experience in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical process industries
- Ability to provide own industry-standard tools
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join our client's team and work on a variety of interesting projects. The salary for this role is £30,000 per annum, rising to £32,000 per annum upon successful completion of the initial 6-month contract, plus benefits including limited Co. or CIS arrangements outside IR35.
