Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Chemical Pathologist to join our team at The Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role: As a Locum Consultant in Chemical Pathology, you will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to identify disease and develop treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information to explain a diagnosis.
  • Work in and lead a multidisciplinary team, assessing and prioritizing patient/client requirements.
  • Examine patients, using diagnostic skills to determine any tests needed, and provide advice and interpret test results.
  • Deliver clinical care to patients, conduct ward rounds and outpatient clinics, and oversee the smooth running of the Pathology Department.
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff, and carry out research and keep up to date with new information.

Requirements:

  • Be a GMC registered Doctor, with relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support your transition up to Consultant level.
  • Hold evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK, and pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
