Care Home Chef/Kitchen Assistant Opportunity

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a skilled Culinary Support Specialist to join their team at a well-established care home group in Liss, Hampshire.

Salary: £24,960 per annum

About the Role

This full-time position consists of 40 hours per week, with alternate weekend work and daytime shifts. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will assist the head chef in planning, preparing, and cooking meals that cater to residents' preferences and dietary needs.

You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to the Food Safety Manual, and ensuring all kitchen areas are immaculately clean.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of nutritious meals
  • Maintain cleaning schedules and ensure kitchen areas meet food safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with the head chef to plan menus and accommodate resident requests
