Quality Control Supervisor

Questech Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking a skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join a prominent player in the food manufacturing sector. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with managing all aspects of food safety and quality assurance within your designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the local quality committee and the factory's quality assurance team to ensure adherence to hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at reducing customer complaints, minimizing foreign body incidents, and enhancing First Time Right metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within your area.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at achieving zero defects.
  • Drive quality initiatives to reduce operational losses.
  • Implement ongoing improvement strategies through effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
  • Oversee quality incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage non-standard product releases and monitor stock conditions.
  • Conduct investigations into consumer complaints and provide actionable feedback.
  • Review, update, and disseminate quality management systems, including HACCP and QMS.
  • Prepare for and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring follow-up on corrective actions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance roles within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within large teams and thrive under pressure.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing quality assurance programs and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members to achieve quality targets.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and food safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and product specifications.
  • Proficient in conducting audits and verification processes.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of £35,000 - £40,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package and potential performance bonuses.
