About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to work on vehicle assembly and testing at our state-of-the-art facility in Merthyr Tydfil. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work to strict specifications, procedures, schematics, and engineering drawings on projects critical to the MOD.
  • Collaborate with test support, engineering, and quality functions to ensure high-quality results.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy to complete set-ups and perform quality and performance testing.
  • Develop and maintain a strong attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated.
  • Participate in a manufacturing setting with a focus on clean as you go/6S/FOD/Tool control programs.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or similar role.
  • Ability to work from written instructions with limited supervision.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
