Your Role

  • Support the Transport Directors in driving growth in the region.
  • Grow and maintain a client base through account management.
  • Work with project leads and account managers to ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • Collaborate with other members of the transport planning team, other services, private and public sector clients, architects, and planners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver transport assessments, transport statements, travel plans, masterplans, and other technical reports to support planning applications and associated work.
  • Understand and apply appropriate technical standards.
  • Lead and support meetings, including negotiations with local authorities and regulatory bodies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate experience in client-focused relationships and highway authority management.
  • Showcase expertise in transport planning for development, including analysis and assessment.
  • Assist senior colleagues with dealing with clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of client briefs, fee proposals, and effective project delivery.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Preparation of transport statements/assessments, travel plans, ES chapters, access studies, and AADT/AAWT flows.
  • Experience in industry-standard junction capacity assessment applications and network modelling.
  • Proficiency in packages such as AutoCAD and GIS.
  • Ability to work independently, lead a piece of work, or work within a project team.
  • Management techniques, including project and resource management, and mentoring junior staff.
