Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Caretaker to join our team at Aveton Gifford Primary School. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the school premises, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the site and grounds are cleaned and maintained to contractual standards
  • Responsible for equipment and products used in carrying out your role, including inventory and safe storage
  • Support with general maintenance issues and site security
  • Perform minor handyman duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Confident working both on your own and as part of a team
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with the client
  • Comfortable engaging with members of the public
  • Knowledge of health & safety guidelines relevant to the role is an advantage
