Caretaker Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Caretaker to join our team at Aveton Gifford Primary School. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the site and grounds to contractual standards, ensuring a safe and clean environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the site is clean and tidy.
  • Manage and maintain equipment and products used in carrying out your role.
  • Support with general maintenance issues and minor handyman duties.
  • Ensure site security and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Comfortable engaging with members of the public.
  • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines relevant to the role is an advantage.
