Job Title: Caretaker - Aveton Gifford Primary School

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Caretaker to join our team at Aveton Gifford Primary School. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school premises, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and secure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the school premises are clean and tidy, including classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and furniture.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Area Supervisor.
  • Support with general maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaky taps and unclogging drains.
  • Ensure the school's security systems are functioning correctly and report any issues to the Area Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures.
