Job Overview
Turning Point is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Cheltenham. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and Autism.

About the Role
This is a hands-on position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work a range of shifts, including weekends. You will be responsible for promoting the independence of the people we support, assisting with daily activities, and developing residents' life skills and personal interests. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and contribute to service monitoring requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with learning disabilities and Autism in their daily lives
  • Assist with personal care needs, including manual handling
  • Develop and implement person-centred plans to promote independence
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service monitoring requirements

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate, caring, and enthusiastic. You will also need to be flexible, patient, and non-judgmental, with good communication skills and the ability to complete the physical aspects of the role. Having a driving license is necessary. We welcome applicants with transferable experience of helping people to manage anxiety.
